India Quiz

It was created by an IIT Bombay alumnus D Uday Kumar.It is an amalgam of the Devanagari "र" and the Roman capital "R" without the stem. The parallel lines at the top (with white space between them) make an allusion to the tricolor Indian flag and is currently in the first stage of proposal for being encoded into the Unicode character set, as a sign distinct from the existing generic sign encoded at U+20A8.What are we talking about?
